For my second entry im going to tell you about image manipulation.

Well for this you need some sort of software to manipulate it in, as mentioned im my last post adobe photoshop. I will be showing you how to manipulate images in photoshop.
For starters you start it up.

This is an image of photoshop without an image in it. the next thing you can then do is one of two things, you can either make a new page or you can open up an image. you do this by going to file and selecting either new or open.

Im going to open an image to edit it. i will show you a couple of the tools that are avaible in photoshop. This image is of the tool select bar.

well the first tool i am going to show you is the magnetic lasso, the purpose of this tool is to select a certain part of image, the way you use it is you click on the edge of the image and follow the edge of the image, but the good thing about the tool is if you stray from the edge it will stay because it locates diffrent colors and sticks to the one you are following. you can us it to recolour spefic parts of the image. like i have done here.

you can also use the magic wand tool to do almost the same thing, but the difference between them is the wand tool you just click and it selects all the parts of the image with similar colors.
now the clone tool, you can use this if you want the recreate part of the image on to of the existing image. it can be useful for exact copies.

and that concludes this part.

Image Editing

Image editing is relitively old, but it has come a long way from when it was first done. they did use small knives and paint brushes and now we use computers which is is a very big diffrence.
on to the questions.
what is image editing? image editing is what you do to change the apperance of an image. it can be done in many different ways, for example you can edit images in photoshop, which can be complicated, there are many many more programs to do it in.
why do it? well, its not up to me what you want to do with it,its up to you.
what are the legal and ethical considerations of image editing? copyright is one of the legal considerations and is editing someones face ethical?
